Machining Manager REPORTS TO: Directly to the Plant Manager RESPONSIBILITIES: 1)  Interface with direct reports to review CNC machining and tooling rates. 2)  Manage the interface between direct reports and tooling / equipment suppliers to ensure use of proper tooling for production.  Work with direct reports and suppliers to develop better cutting tools for specific PM applications. 3)  Provide training and technical support for set-up technicians on all shifts. 4)  Coordinate and communicate continuous improvement activities with engineering and manufacturing personnel. 5)  Provide machining information for quotation purposes in a timely fashion. 6)  Support engineering projects as needed (i.e., Tooling/fixture design and detailing) 7)  Provide the driving force for quality standard improvement and production capability improvement through the application of exceptional manufacturing practices. 8)  Responsible for all new machining equipment with regards to safe operation. 9)   Responsible for managing standardized work for all machining applications. 10) Support ALL new equipment runoffs, installs and upgrades. 11) Work with engineering on machining development of new projects. 12) Create new programs along with Trouble-shoot CNC manufacturing problems on production programs 13) Maintain all IATF16949 requirements that relate to CNC machining/processing. 14) Work with other departments and outside vendors on improving tooling efficiency both by increased productivity and increased tool life. 15) Work with other departments and outside vendors on making recommendations for purchasing new equipment for new projects or for replacement of aging equipment. 16) Work with both manufacturing and quality in developing "8D" corrective actions and 5 why that are related to machining operations. 17) Work with quality and manufacturing in improving process capability on CNC operations. 18) Lead teams to reduce all types of scrap generated by CNC operations. 19) Other duties as assigned by Supervisor QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: AS in Engineering EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of machining experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 1.     Forward thinking, open-minded, methodical, and aggressive approach to problem solving. 2.     Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. 3.     Component and tooling insert design experience. 4.     Excellent analytical abilities. 5.     Proficient in Catia, Pro-E, Autocad

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
